Have you come hungry? I did. You will begin to see I have something for mashed potatoes. It really comes from my mom. She makes incredible mashed potatoes. As this blog unfolds, I hope you will come to taste why. However, for now… Just wanted to share some thoughts about being invited to The Table…. His Table. Have you heard about the party where everyone was invited and no one came? The Master wanted to fill his house with friends and food. The best of the best were asked and also the best was being served. Yet, no one came. Ouch! So the Master said to his staff to go and ask anyone and everyone else to come. Basically, beat the bushes. The Master said to compel them to come. Free food and drink!! What an offer! Would you come for free food? Would you be picky or would you pass it up? There are those who would just come. No questions asked. They wouldn’t ask how was the food prepared or what kind of beverages were being served. When God calls us to His table, what do we do? We question. We check over the menu and make sure everything on it is to our liking. Our Father – the one who created us- knows what we like and what we need. He prepares the table. He does not leave it to anyone else. He, out of the love He has for us, prepares the feast. What a Father! What a Savior!. He’s waiting to prepare a feast – we just need to be willing to receive Him – to show up. He has those mashed potatoes waiting. The mashed potatoes are so good. Let’s not miss them any longer and bring others along. There’s plenty of room!

Luke 14:23- Then the Master told his servant, “Go out to the roads and country and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.”
